Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra Launch: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 200MP Cameras and an 8,050mAh Battery
Poco's new flagships go big: a shared 200MP main camera, 185Hz 4,500-nit AMOLEDs, Bose-tuned audio, and — on the F9 Ultra — an enormous 8,050mAh silicon-carbon battery. The F9 Pro starts at $699, the Ultra at $799.

OFFICIALXiaomi's sub-brand Poco has expanded its flagship line with two new phones: the Poco F9 Pro and the step-up F9 Ultra. They share a lot — the same top-tier chip family, a 200MP main camera and identical charging — but split on battery, cameras and audio in ways that clearly separate the tiers.
CHIP AND MEMORY
The F9 Ultra runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The F9 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series (SM8850-1-AB) with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Both add a dedicated 12nm VisionBoost D8 graphics chip to handle AI frame insertion and super-resolution for gaming.
DISPLAYS
Both phones use HyperRGB AMOLED panels with a fast 185Hz refresh rate and peak brightness up to 4,500 nits. The F9 Pro is 6.59 inches (2510 x 1156); the Ultra stretches to 6.9 inches (2608 x 1200). Both share 480Hz 10-point touch sampling, 4800Hz instant touch sampling, Gorilla Glass 7i, and integrated ultrasonic fingerprint sensors.

CAMERAS
Camera hardware gets a major overhaul, starting with a shared 200MP primary sensor with OIS and 4K video. From there the tiers branch: the F9 Pro pairs the main with a 50MP floating telephoto (2.5x optical) and an 8MP ultrawide, while the F9 Ultra steps up to a 50MP periscope telephoto (5x optical) alongside a 50MP ultrawide. Both get a 32MP front camera.
AUDIO, BATTERY & CHARGING
Audio is tuned in partnership with Bose. The F9 Pro has symmetrical dual stereo speakers; the Ultra adds a 2.1-channel setup with an independent 1620 rear subwoofer. On power, the F9 Pro carries a 6,330mAh battery while the Ultra houses a frankly massive 8,050mAh silicon-carbon cell (16% silicon). Both share 100W wired, 50W wireless, 27W wired reverse and 22.5W wireless reverse charging.

RATING
This is an official Poco launch, so specs and pricing are CONFIRMED. The open variables are regional availability and how the early-bird pricing holds after launch. The takeaway: two aggressive flagships that pair Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 power and a 200MP camera with standout battery capacity — especially the Ultra's 8,050mAh cell.
