In everyday terms, that's the difference between a phone you stretch to reach across and one that's genuinely comfortable one-handed. A ~6.6-inch flagship with Ultra-grade hardware is a segment Samsung has largely ceded in recent years, and the Pro looks aimed squarely at buyers who found the Ultra too big and the base model too compromised.

Driving it is said to be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 'Extreme' — the same top-tier silicon expected across the flagship S27 line. Pairing the best chip with the smaller body reinforces the positioning: this is a full flagship that happens to be compact, not a mid-tier phone wearing an Ultra's clothes.
